This site domain (www.aaptsections.org) is host for sections of the American Association of Physics Teachers. This domain is owned and operated by Lee Trampleasure, and is not funded nor officially sanctioned by AAPT (although they do know I’m running it and I hold trainings at most AAPT national meetings). The reason for the separation is that Sections of AAPT, while responsible for complying with rules of AAPT, are financially and legally independent from AAPT national.
